Born Dirty began as an off road racing apparel company and when owner and off road racer, Desiree Bates started a welding program, she fell in love with the art of welding and has incorporated her skill for design into metal art.
Born into the world of off-roading, Desiree Bates grew up riding a 3-wheeler and then gravitated toward two wheels when she began racing nearly 20 years ago. All of her racing career she has raced the number 666 but for the 2024 race season she will race 569 to represent the Local Union 569 that will be sponsoring her this season.
With a degree in graphic design and media arts, Desiree took her love of tools and decided to join the electrical union. Now as a recent graduate of the Electrical Training Center she is currently working at Morrow Meadows as a Journeyman Wireman
Formerly known as the Fight For Ocotillo Wells Desiree has received awards for advocacy from the American Motorcyclist Association and the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame. With so much support from the off-road community and the SDORC, Desiree has filed for full non-profit status. Now, as the DirtRider Foundation, we stand alone to aid
